Restoring Play For Elementary School With Athletic Court Resurfacing
EverLine Coatings transformed worn athletic courts at Chocachatti Elementary with professional resurfacing, creating vibrant, safe play spaces students love.
Chocachatti Elementary School was looking for a way to transform an outdoor athletic area that had become worn and outdated. Years of use had taken their toll, with fading markings, visible cracks, and worn surfaces. The school wanted a refreshed layout that felt fun, functional, and clearly organized for multiple activities while working around events already on the school calendar.
Aging Athletic Court Surfaces Reduced Visibility and Function
Years of exposure to sun, rain, and daily student activity had gradually worn down the athletic area. Cracks had begun to form across the surface and original colors had faded from constant weather exposure. As a result, the space felt tired and less functional. After seeing EverLine Coatings share athletic court resurfacing work on Facebook, the school reached out, confident they were connecting with a team experienced in educational environments and outdoor play spaces.
Refreshing the Surface Through Athletic Court Resurfacing and Concrete Crack Sealing
EverLine Coatings completed a full resurfacing of approximately 15,100 square feet of athletic space. Services included power washing, concrete crack sealing, surface coating, and detailed game layout striping. The project featured one primary surface color, a second contrasting color for key play areas, and a third light blue accent color to add depth and create a more engaging environment for students.
Detailed Preparation and Coordinated Execution
Preparation began a week in advance with power washing and vegetation removal from cracks. Prior to coating, the team used industrial blowers, wire brushing, and full perimeter masking to ensure a clean, controlled application. The painting portion was completed over three days during Thanksgiving break, allowing work to be done without interrupting school activities. Throughout the project, EverLine Coatings maintained clear communication, sharing photos, video, and drone footage, as well as providing a comprehensive project completion report with before-and-after imagery.
A Colorful Transformation Students Were Excited About
The completed athletic area now includes one tennis court, one pickleball court, four four-square courts, three tetherball areas, and five basketball keys, all clearly defined and visually engaging. The project earned 5-star reviews on both Google and Facebook, with the school praising the team’s professionalism, attention to detail, and the excitement the new courts brought to students.
