A Failing Parking Lot in Dire Need of Assistance
When people go to rent a car, they want to trust the company providing it. Unfortunately, an Enterprise Rent-A-Car location in Colorado Springs was suffering from a big parking lot problem. Extensive damage and wear and tear had left it riddled with potholes, longitudinal cracking, alligator cracking, and sinkholes. Beyond that, faded parking lines made it difficult to navigate the parking lot, which is a big issue when you need a space that’s organized enough to fit both rental cars and those for employees and prospective customers.

Not Even Potholes and Sinkholes Could Stop Us
To get this parking lot restored and customer-ready, we had to complete extensive repairs. It started with infrared hot-mix asphalt repair, which involved removing failed asphalt and cleaning out the potholes. Then, we replaced it with new material to restore the parking lot’s integrity. This was also necessary for the sinkhole and areas where the asphalt was worn and riddled with alligator cracks. Other cracks were cleaned out before we used Direct Fire Crack Sealant for longitudinal cracks.
With the surface restored, we applied two coats of our Polymer Modified Masterseal Asphalt Sealant for added protection against the elements, waterproofing the lot to keep cracks at bay.
Finally, we wrapped up with a fresh new coat of parking lot line striping. While we created a new layout and traffic markings in certain areas and created ADA parking spaces, other areas reused the old layout. We added these traffic markings with high-quality, municipal-grade traffic paint.
