Faded Lines and Cracks Made Grace and Chapel Church’s Parking Lot a Nightmare
Churches should be welcoming and comforting as soon as you set foot on the property. A parking lot in disrepair can take away from the peace. When Grace and Chapel Church’s parking lot suffered from cracks, aging asphalt and faded parking lines, they knew they had to take action, not just for aesthetics but also for safety. Particularly bad cracks can turn into potholes, which can be tripping hazards and damage cars. Faded lines take away from the flow of traffic as people don’t have markings guiding them.
We met with the church’s facility manager and, upon discussing their needs and sending a proposal, they knew we were the team to trust.
Creating a Safe, Inviting Parking Lot
We got to work straight away, keeping their budget in mind as we cleaned out the entire parking lot. Then, it was time to fill in all the cracks to protect the lot from further damage and prevent water from seeping in.
With the asphalt restored, we began our sealcoating service, creating a protective barrier atop the parking lot. This keeps water from penetrating the asphalt and also protects it from wear caused by UV rays or damage from salt during freezing winter temperatures.
Finally, it was time to start line painting to create a clear, easily navigable parking lot. These fresh, new lines really stood out against the color created by sealcoating.
As luck would have it, we had a bit of coordinating to ensure we could get the job done around their scheduled time frame. Bad weather conditions threatened our progress, but we persevered, keeping our client in the loop constantly.
